The Jefferson County Planning Commissioners and staff will be hosting a booth at the Jefferson County Fair (Aug 20-26 at the fairgrounds, 2005 Old Leetown Pike, Kearneysville). Residents will be able to engage in several activities designed to help the planning staff guide the in-process updates to the county’s comprehensive land use plan. Activities will include a self-guided question/answer exercise that will help gauge interest in specific amenities (both public and private) that residents want to see in the county. Visitors will also be able to map out the paths they take through the county and identify desired amenities at various locations. Kids can join in the fun too, with coloring sheets identifying county landmarks that can be turned in to receive a prize.
