Morgantown Arts Collective, Travelin’ Appalachians Revue’s seven-day traveling showcase entitled, Things Said to a Hole in the Ground, is a multi-disciplinary celebration of Appalachian music and creative writing made up of West Virginia-based musicians and writers. Things Said to a Hole in the Ground marks the second annual tour for the music and writing collective.
The group will make several stops across West Virginia from Shepherdstown to Charleston, concluding with a final show to celebrate West Virginia Day (June 20) in Morgantown. Showcasing a variety of musical performances and readings from creative minds nurtured in the Mountain State the group aims to explore and challenge the complex and competing narratives about West Virginia.
The tour commences in Shepherdstown on June 14th.
The Travelin’ Appalachians Revue includes John R. Miller (The Fox Hunt, Locust Honey), Tyler Grady( Goodwolf), Keegan Lester (Souvenir Lit Journal), Rose Ann (Beast Friend) and John Jacob (False Pterodactyl, Beast Friend), and Howard Parsons (Black Bear Club Reading Series). The Revue will be joined by different local performers and artists at each stop.
The Shepherdstown Opera House performance on June 14 will present, John R. Miller, Keegan Lester, Rose Ann, John Jacob along with local artists, Sophia Rehak, Kelly Cambrel, Ashley Hoffman and Cheshi.By:
